Since the day I installed ubuntu 8.04 on my laptop, the cedilla wasn't working correctly. Instead of ç I was getting ć.
Today I finally started to search for a solution, and it was easy, but a bit diferrent from older Ubuntu version, once the options files is not inside /etc anymore. Well, I wrote a small patch that already configure the ç as the default output char when I press ' + c.
Here is the patch:

I had the same problem, but only on Abiword and Openoffice (on a xterminal and Firefox it was ok). I found the same solution as you did, but it worked only on Abiword.Breno Henrique Leitao escreveu:
Weird. You mean that the solution doesn't work for others application but Openoffice and Abiword? Well, remember this is a GTK "feature", I am not sure if it'll work for QT apllications. I need to try and see what I get.

I meant this solution worked with me only for Abiword, not for Openoffice. I notice the problem with cedella before only with Openoffice and Abiword. Everything was and continued ok with xterm and Firefox, for example.Oda escreveu:
